Introducing Tinlin

Came the end of December 2002 and with it was born Tinlin. It's unique sound - a union of acoustic guitar, mandolin and percussion, intertwined with bold vocal harmonies - producing a repertoire of original, yet well crafted and often dangerously catchy tunes!

Although mostly to be found performing in and around our great capital, Tinlin enjoys the comfort of it's home turf in the Shires, but can be easily drawn nationwide by the pull of festival appearances, also rarely shying away from occasional jaunts over international waters.

Having undergone a lengthy and strenuous journey through metamorphosis, and following many months of studio prison, 2007 now sees a Tinlin reborn, with a sparkling clean slate and a whole catalogue of new material.

Now in the fourth year of it's development, project Tinlin is on the right trajectory for the completion of it's latest E.P., the announcement of a UK tour and a promo video which will soon be available for download from this website.

In essence, Tinlin is a song writing partnership, based around two brothers with the shared desire to express themselves through the medium of music. Their bitter-sweet melodies illustrate some of the complexities, cruelties and joys of life. To categorise their music is impossible as Tinlin continues to evolve in search for new sounds that reflect their experiences.
